A Seaside Cottage
“With sea views the design and style of the furniture needed to capture coastal living. Their vision and attention to every detail was second to none.”
Just a stone’s throw away from the sea, the design needed to embrace the essence of coastal living. The colours of the polished concrete floor already echoed the hue of a stony beach so we painted the cupboards in Farrow and Ball Bone to continue the theme of gentle muted tones synonymous with the East Anglian coast line.
Our customer had a wonderful collection of kitchen accessories. The area above the Wood Burning Rayburn was the obvious location for a Shelf and Pot Rail, all within arms reach.
The recess to the left of the Rayburn was a perfect area to create storage for cooking pots. We used a favourite of ours, Chicken Wire, for the door panel. It’s always nice to introduce different materials whenever possible to offer contrast. To finish off we used T&G Bead Panelling for the walls and the area between the worktop and wall cupboards to complement the arrangement.
